The Cherokee Nation Tribal Youth Council is looking for nominations for Woman of High Esteem. Nominees should be registered Cherokee Nation citizens recognizing them for their commitment to the Cherokee people and outstanding achievements in the community and Cherokee Nation. This is also the last reminder for Cherokee Nation higher education scholarships, as the deadline for applications is June 12. If you need more information please visit http://www.cherokee.org/Services/190/Page/default.aspx.

Also on June 12, Cherokee Nation EMS is hosting a car seat check. The check is free and is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., so if you would like to ensure that your car seats are installed properly please stop by the EMS building 2 miles southwest of Tahlequah at the Cherokee Nation tribal complex. Cherokee Nation EMS to Host Car Seat Check: 6/4/2009

The Cherokee Nation and the SAFE KIDS Chapter of Cherokee County will host a free car seat check on Friday, June 12, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the tribe’s EMS building south of Tahlequah.
