Swine Flu Time Line As Of 7/22/2009

Swine Flu Time Line As Of 7/22/2009
This will be a time line of events concerning some of the Swine flu (H1N1) articles that I have come across. Some raise very interesting questions, while others may be labeled information. This will be up to everyone to decide for themselves. Please note that this time line is to help all those that wish more information on this topic of health.
On Nov. 24,2007 from Medical News Today written by Christian Nordquist at www.medicalnewstoday.com , the article is concerning Tamiflu and Relenza and the fact that they should have Psychiatric Side Effects Warning, say regulators. This was due to reports of patients experiencing delirium, psychosis and hallucinations. The staff of US FDA recommends that these drugs carry these warnings about these possible side-effects. The article stated that Tami flu was made by Roche Holdings; Relenza is made by GSK (GlaxoSmithKline). Children were especially at risk of these. But the staff went on to say the warnings should be for all, no just children. Go to this story for further information.
On May 2, 2009 under www.fda.gov, you will find a report that is labeled Fact Sheet for Patients: Understanding Swine Influenza Kit Test Results. At this time the FDA and the CDC had determined that this virus was contagious and wanted people tested. When you read this article you may seem to notice they were not quiet sure what they were going to be dealing with and at least seemed concerned. I say this, because I and my husband, both came down with this and not one doctor would do the required test, (a swab), that was required. So, all figures in the state we live in would then not be an accurate figure.
Then on May 17, 2009 and article with video links appeared on www.russiatoday,com. I first read this and saw the video I thought, no this can not be real. But the items talked about had been talked about before on regular media in the states, so could this also be true? So I read on.” US link to Mexican swine flu”, US owned pig intense farms. Yes, I had read about Smithfield Foods and the farm in La Gloria, and then the following articles saying patient zero was from there. It went on to say not just one farm but 16 farms in this one area. Back in 2007 , Perote Valley residents in a grass-roots organization called Pueblos Unidos blockaded a road to prevent the Granjas Carroll pig farm from being built in La Gloria. Criminal charges were brought against 5 ot the members. However, a lawsuit has been filed after US Judy Trunnell died. Back in 2006 the US National Institutes of Health stated,” because of concentrated animal feeding operations tend to concentrate large numbers of animals together and this will facilitate rapid transmission and mixing of viruses.” In 2008 the Pew Research Center reported,”Factory farms are time-bombs for global disease epidemics.” It should be noted that on www.RT.com , Wayne Madison, who was with the NSA stated that Flugen of Madison, Wisc. Was developing a vaccine and that he felt the swine flu was made in a lab. He also stated that the very first person to have this type of flu was an Inuit woman in Alaska back in 1965. But for the mayor of Perote, Guillermo Franco Vazquez ,”to the people of this community, what brought about this problem was the pig farms.”
When
Jonathan Stibbs was the reporter for RT.
On May 22, 2009 an article appeared from www.gsk.com ,”US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) purchases GSK’s A (H1N1) influenza and proprietary adjuvant system. In this article it will give names and phone contact
On May 29, 2009 CSL Limited Receives USD180 million Orders form U.S. Government to Produce Novel Influenza A (H1N1) Vaccine. As CSL is a world wide organization you will have to add Australia when finding this article under www.csl.com.au
Also on May 29, 2009 the HHS also signed a contract with CSL Biotherapies to provide in bulk form the antigen. The first order under contract will be in at least $180 million. You can contact this Worldwide Commercial Operations at Shelia.Burke@cslbiotherapies,com .
On June 5th, 2009 the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases wrote an article concerning Pathogen Genomics and A H1N1 Outbreak Entry Clones Now Available. For this article go to www3.niaid.nih.gov/toics/pathogenGenomics/gateway.htm
June 25, 2009 another article and TV. spot concerning Wayne Madsen and what he calls a nightmare scenario in which swine flu could mutate with bird flu, and that this has been suppressed by the WHO for political reasons: this would increase the sales for new vaccines manufactured by the pharmaceutical industry. At first I thought no way. But back in the earlier article unrelated to his on Medical News Today, in the 5th paragraph they stated that as concerns over Tamilfu have surfaced in 2007 there was a 62 percent drop in sales from 2006. Wait…..is this the bottom line theory? Now I was going to pay attention to any article and see for myself what the real deal was.
Then on June 23, 2009 an article by the CBC News: Alcohol-based sanitizers for flu-hit First Nations delayed over substance abuse fears. Health Canada delayed the delivery of alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Now I knew that this was an outrageous charge by Canada against First Nations. For this go to www.cbc.ca
Then on June 24, 2009 Manitoba First Nations declare swine flu state of emergency.
Then on June 29, 2009 www.csl.com and an article from the CSL Limited, Australia’s leading biopharmaceutical company. A clinical trial to start. “Trial of Novel H1N1 ‘Swine’ Flu candidate vaccine to take place in Adelaide in South Australia.
They will be testing healthy adults 18 to 64 years of age.
Not to be left out was an article done by www.thefranklinpress.com reporter Colin McCandless, concerning the 1st case for his county in Franklin, NC. On July 9, 2009 The Australian article by Siobhain Ryan: Swine flu swamps other viruses as five more die. At the time of this article Australia has 6,378 confirmed cases, 18 deaths. This has this flu defying predictions the disease would die away in the summer. This article can be found at www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,25754296-23289,00.html
On July 7, 2009 on CNNhealth.com the article of Swine flu summit to include members of Obama Cabinet. The virus continues to go around the US as well as 120 other countries. U.S. may need 600 million vaccine doses. The WHO will be no longer testing those countries that have had their outbreaks. Their reason: they can no longer keep up.
We have been receiving many e mails by people who are very correct in being concerned, especially for the people of Turtle Island.
On July 16, 2009 the WHO issued briefing note 3 (revised). Changes in reporting requirements. They now only want to monitor “unusual events” in countries.
On July 17, 2009 the AP reported that, Sebelius signed a document last month that will grant immunity to the makers of the swine flu vaccines. It allows for a compensation fund if needed. This article also includes the last time the US faced a ” new” swine flu in 1976 death, of a soldier at Ft. Dix, N.J. Yes you read this right. That is what this article said.
On July 2009 an article from the MayoClinic.com Swine flu and pregnancy: Are special precautions necessary? Yes.
July 17, 2009 WHO: statement by Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan
WHO welcomes sanofi-aventis’s donation of vaccine. 100 million doses
Also on July 17, 2009 CNNMoney.com had an article following the money side of this flu. The week prior to this the government signed contracts worth $ 884 million with U.S. units of Sanofi Aventis (SNY) and AstraZeneca PLC (AZN) along with GlaxoSmithKline and Norvartis to purchase ingredients used to make H1N1 vaccines. A unit of CSL Ltd (CSL.AU) is also expected to supply some vaccine to the US market. The article was by Jennifer Corbett Dooren with Dow Jones Newswire.
July 20, 2009: WHO reported on CNN.com that this flu had spread so rapidly and so far that it had reached 120 countries. There have been about 98,000 cases and 440 deaths world-wide so far. It will no longer issue global tables showing confirmed cases. It will still report countries where there have not been any confirmed cases if they do get cases that are confirmed. They want governments to pay attention to unusual patterns linked to fatal cases.
On July 21, 2009 the cnn.com reported on a baby girl that had been prematurely delivered from a swine flu patient. She was delivered 14 weeks prematurely. She died.

July 22, 2009 was a busy day for both GSK and all the countries it has under contract for vaccines, and The University of Maryland School of Medicine’s center as it will be one of 10 centers to test a vaccine on adults and children. Slated to begin next month it will enroll up to 1,000 adults and children. They will be evaluating whether the vaccine is safe and effective. This report is by the: baltimoresun, com. Kelly Brewington is the reporter.
July 22, 2009 www.cnn.com Swine flu drug sales soar amid stockpiling
In an undisclosed location in the UK a picture was taken showing the immense stockpiled warehouse. Just as an example the vaccine Relenza sales were $98.4 million in the second quarter of this year, compared to $4.9 million in the same quarter last year.
I think this is the BOTTOM LINE: Glaxo: they can supply 190 million doses. They have a variety of agreements with the US to supply products worth $250 million. They have discussions with over 50 other governments. Shipments are expected in 2009 and 2010.
This has turned out to be one, very costly flu.
Everyone stay safe. Keep you eye on the news and e mail if you have a story.
Sharon
