Rational Response Required To Death Threat

I would like to ask the young man that was working on the adjoining to our right why he said to the man he was working with that he never knew anyone who deserved to die more than me. I have never killed or hurt anyone here or done harm to them. I have only defended what's mine. So explain why I deserve death, please in a way that makes sense to a normal person.
