If you've ever had the pleasure of meeting Senator Patrick Leahy, there's a good chance a photo was snapped to document the occasion -- and there's a good chance you saw him behind the camera.
In his spare time (and sometimes while he's on the job), Senator Leahy is an avid photographer. His 35 years in the Senate have given him a front-row pass to history in the making -- from the fall of the Soviet Union to the inauguration of President Obama -- experiences he has captured and shared through his camera lens. His photos have even found their way onto the pages of newspapers and magazines like Time and U.S. News & World Report.
Now the New York Times has taken notice of the Senate's premier shutterbug, Patrick Leahy, publishing several of his most memorable photos to its "Lens" blog.
Check out some of Senator Leahy's most memorable photos and read about his penchant for photography on the New York Times' "Lens" blog.

If you like what you see, please forward this e-mail to others who may be interested! And thanks for all you do to ensure that, as one former White House photographer said, "Mr. Leahy [holds] on to his day job."
