And the stupid will speak from ignorance.
Here's his email if you want to tell him how ignorant he is.
Quick, which group has the U.S. government helped out the most? Wall Street, maybe? Or the unemployed? Oh, how about all those defense contractors? Wrong, says Fox News contributor John Stossel. As far as Stossel is concerned, it's Native Americans.
Stossel was on Fox & Friends this morning to discuss some high-paying government jobsrecently reported in The Daily Caller. The report found that the "Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs needs someone to run the Facebook page for the Dept. of the Interior and they'll pay up to $115,000 a year." Stossel took that as an opportunity to wonder about the entire concept of a Bureau of Indian Affairs.
"Why is there a Bureau of Indian Affairs?" he said. "There is no Bureau of Puerto Rican Affairs or Black Affairs or Irish Affairs. And no group in America has been more helped by the government than the American Indians, because we have the treaties, we stole their land. But 200 years later, no group does worse."
Established in 1824, Indian Affairs is the oldest bureau of the United States Department of the Interior. Among other responsibilities, the Bureau is charged with "maintaining the federal government-to-government relationship with the federally recognized Indian tribes," according to its website.

My Letter to Mr. Stossel:
Dear Mr. Stossel,
When on speaks about native Americans, one should have some idea what they are talking about.
Treaties are made between governments. The Indigenous People of this continent have and always will be a sovereign people with government to government relations. The money that you say so freely comes to Indigenous People is more frequently lost in the government bureaucracy. They have the worst health care, education, poverty and highest rate of violence against women not because they don't try but because people like you advocate cutting funds and programs that would help them get ahead so that is what happens and they have gotten little or nothing of the rights guaranteed by treaties. If your ancestors had only been the ones that harmed Indigenous People they might have recovered by now. But you still have your greed sickness to take what little land or belongings they have. For example what you British friends Peabody Coal did to the Navajos in the 1990s. And other greedy people are encroaching on their lands and taking them as we correspond here.
I have a whole list of other things. But I think I am going to let Indigenous People know what you said and let them tell you.
Stop speaking from ignorance and study the issue before you blurt out ignorant statements.
