Rene Hood called in this morning to speak with James who was unavailable and spoke directly to Co Place. She said that there is now a PayPal button on their website http://www.facebook.com/l/d3a51;www.astribe.com for direct donations.

Update: FEMA is helping the tribe and they do have a good relationship. Cleveland County threw their hands and walked away the excuse they used…they have no authority on Indian land !!!!! American Red Cross & Salvation Army trucks drive by the communities and REFUSE to help ... they drive directly by the Shawnee Relief Center! Why is this happening?

There are approximately 5,000 people without electricity including the Tribal Housing Authority. Rene wants everyone to know, and share, that the Clinic and Resource Center is open in Little Axe for those who need help with shelter for both native and non-natives.

Absentee Shawnee of Oklahoma appreciate all we are doing, but so much more needs to happen… Help spread the word and lets get help out to our relatives, quickly.

James will be speaking with Rene Hood here shortly and we will update you with any new information that comes available.
