March from U.S. into Canada starts at noon.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MNN. May 30, 2009. The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne passed resolution #318 on February 28, 2008 forbidding firearms to be carried by Canada Border Services Agents CBSA on the territory of Akwesasne. That’s the law. No guns. They also demanded a commission of inquiry and an emergency meeting with the Minister of Public Safety and other ministers and senior officials no later than April 1, 2008. Canada refuses to discuss this.

On Friday May 29 2009 the council and the people walked over to the border and served these documents on the agents. Inside the building were four young Indigenous guys from Oklahoma who were in Akwesasne for a boxing tournament. They said, “They pulled us over and we don’t know why”. They could have been thrown in jail and held for 30 days for no reason. The building became full of Mohawks who freed our Oklahoma brothers.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper must have been planning to wait us out and put guns in the hands of his agents on Monday, June 1. By the time we got our act together, it would be too late to do anything. Instead on May 28th we served a complaint to the UN Security Council and the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, 8th Session. They promised to send delegates to Akwesasne to observe and report on Canada’s plot to violate our human rights and commit ethnic cleansing.

Harper acts like Indigenous people should kiss his feet and that he will set the agenda. Real diplomacy means both sides work toward an agreement that is beneficial to all. It’s not where Indigenous get nothing and the school yard bully gets everything. We can work out an agreement peacefully no matter how long it takes. Our bargaining position is that right always wins in the end.

From the day the European ruffians landed on our shores they have continuously mistreated us. They seem determined to continue these atrocities. They tell us, “Take it or leave it”. We say “no”. We the Rotino’shonni:onwe of Great Turtle Island have the will of the people behind us.

Canada, the U.S. and all these occupiers in the western hemisphere should be brought before a court to be tried for the atrocities and war crimes they have committed against humanity. Harper made an apology over the crimes against our people and children who were put into colonial concentrations camps called government residential schools. At the same he planned to arm people to finish the job.

Canada aspires to militarize the border and turn its colony into an armed camp. The Indigenous refuse to harbor a police state on Great Turtle Island. Arming colonial agents is not for world security. It’s for the interests of a few elite war lords who want to set up a global totalitarian regime. They want to steal everything from us. They wrongly think money and violence will win. The world has to know that Canada is a lie.

We must hang onto our children’s birthright. It is not criminal for us to survive and defend ourselves and our freedom.

Canada negotiates by trying to hit us over the head with a hammer. We Iroquois have thousands of years of experience in very complex diplomacy. We negotiated treaties with many nations on Great Turtle Island and beyond that stand to this day. According to our alliances, when anyone is dealing with Mohawks, they are dealing with all Indigenous people. We are one blood. We stand together as brothers and sisters.

TODAY ME, TOMORROW YOU: Hailie Selassie, 1936

MNN. May 30, 2009. Rastafarians highly regard Selassie for this comment. In 1936 the African nation of Ethiopia was invaded by Italy when it was ruled by Moussellini. Selassie went to the League of Nations to ask for help. They refused and offered him asylum in Britain. Something strange is being played out against the Mohawks at the Akwesane border. We don’t want guns there. The U.S. and Canada want us to submit to their will because we are getting in the way of their plans.

Who are the guns in the hands of the border guards going to be pointed at? Who is putting the Americans into a pressure cooker, to watch out for terrorists and to keep worrying about a dangerous world? Who is pushing them into having no choice but to create a global fascist empire for their own protection? It’s the international bankers who are engineering the economic collapse and depression to bring the dollar down to zero. The U.S. as it stands today is going to be destroyed. The Anglo-American empire will fall so that Fortress America can be set up and run by a few criminal war lords.

The U.S. plans to own Canada and Mexico.

The U.S. has to rely on food, oil and commodity imports. They are short of resources, water being a main one. They won’t do low paying jobs. A food shortage has been created blaming it on drought and money issues. The oil deficit is chronic. Wheat, beef and lumber are being stockpiled. Hoarding is going on everywhere mostly by the military. The U.S. is becoming overrun with homeless people and empty boarded up houses. The dollar will eventually crash.

Isolation, paranoia and zenophobia are running amok. U.S. citizens are being made to fear strangers and aliens. Foreigners are being kicked out [forgetting they are all immigrants themselves]. They think they see terrorism everywhere. People are being put into unfounded suspicion, utter despair and rage that can lead to mob violence and martial law. The police state is the final goal.

Walls have been built around them in the south manned by guards carrying guns and high security towers. In the north the same plans are in motion. We thought at first it was to harass non-U.S. citizens. It’s starting to look more like the Americans themselves might be the primary victims.

For global government the concept of U.S. citizenship will be destroyed to bring in world electronic citizenship. Enhanced drivers licenses will facilitate workers travelling the NAFTA super highway corridor throughout Great Turtle Island without ever getting off it. The army can move quickly to anywhere they’re needed.

Many unemployed soldiers and laid-off auto workers have nowhere to turn. A pool of millions has been made available to the military complex. Many will wear uniforms.

To save themselves, the U.S. is being told they have to conquer the world. They have the weapons, manpower and the blueprint. They are told in effect, “We can conquer the world and take everything from everybody, under the right of discovery”.

A charismatic leader is making the pronouncements. His brown skin is part of the deception. He tells them the U.S. destiny is to rule the world.

The propaganda is that it is becoming dangerous for Americans to travel. Armed border guards between peaceful nations has a psychological effect. Americans are already being chased out of Mexico by fights between drug lords and threats of swine flu. Guns are going to be pointed at the people coming from the U.S. into Canada.

The U.S. made a new policy to pursue terrorists and criminals in Mexico and Canada. They hope that soon Canada and Mexico will be protectorates of the U.S., similar to the Philipines.

This is the old Hitler scheme to build Fortress Europe. After WWI Germany was surrounded by real or imagined enemies. They had to give up all their weapons and were under the control of foreign nations. They had to pay heavy reparations to French, British, Americans and Russians. They were starving due to embargoes. Soldiers were unemployed. The German mark was down to zero. They had no colonies and no natural resources. Fear was put into their minds. They were terrified of being strangled to death by their enemies. Hitler told them that to survive they had to overpower the world. They had to control those around them so as not to be hemmed in. Their scapegoats were the Jews.

U.S. citizens are being conditioned to blame the Indigenous of Canada and Mexico for all their troubles. They want our resources for nothing and for us to be the slaves who will extract it for them.

The international elite engineered the gun issue at the border. They told Canada to put guns in the hands of the border guards to put fear into Americans. Mexico is their enemy. The U.S. citizens are being lead to believe that Canada is becoming their enemy too. China put up their wall to keep out the Mongol hordes. The Romans put the wall between Scotland and England to keep out the highlanders. The Jews are building a wall around Palestine for the same reason. Russians put up the Berlin wall to create the impression that there was an enemy on the other side threatening to get in and hurt them.

When a nation feels threatened, they build a wall. It’s a psychological barrier. It’s dangerous.

U.S. and Canada are angry and alarmed at us for stopping the guns at the border. They are going to be pointed basically at Americans. Are Americans being contained to prepare for racial and class chaos coming to their homes soon?

AKWESASNE MOHAWKS: BOTH BRIDGES BLOCKED – CUSTOMS AGENTS WALK OFF AT MIDNIGHT MAY 31SR. Mohawks being held hostage.
IS CANADA BECOMING AN ENEMY OF THE U.S.?

The Canada Border Services Agency union created trouble to get guns in the hands of the border guards. Their strategy was to make trouble for the Mohawks. The aftermath is that it’s illegal and we don’t forget how brutally we’ve been treated.

MNN. June 1, 2009. At 10:00 pm last night, May 31, the chief was coming through Cornwall Island Canada Customs. He was served with a letter from Peter Van Loan, Canada’s Public Safety Minister informing us that “There will be guns” on June 1st 2009.

The Canada Border Services Agents CBSA were to be armed at midnight last night. Instead they walked off. The two bridges to Cornwall Island have been closed. The north span by Cornwall police and the south span by New York State Police. There are native guards in the customs buildings. There has been an RCMP buildup in the area over the last few days.

The people met all day yesterday to get a peaceful resolution to all aspects of the issue. They selected four men to be peace keepers. Canada says they want to meet with the leaders. They were told the people are the leaders and will decide what to do. So far no action is being taken. The Men will protect the people. They are at points on each bridge and adjacent to the customs.

Canada is escalating the issue by blocking us in. We are now closed in and being held hostage.

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne passed resolution #318 on February 28, 2008 forbidding firearms to be carried by Canada Customs Border Service Agents in the Mohawk community. According to their own legislation, that is the law on the territory. According to the will of the people based on the Great Law of Peace, our constitution, our position is against guns.

International law supports the Mohawks. It forbids unilateral impositions without full consultation and consent of the majority of the people concerned. Canada must abide by our decisions according to the international conventions they’ve signed.

ISSUE: In a democracy government doesn’t tell police what to do. Otherwise it’s a dictatorship. The agents have made a demand they will not work unless they have guns. The CBSA management says it’s out of their hands. The guards dispute is with management. Management and government have no control over them. The guards think they can do what they want because they are protected by their union, acting like a law onto themselves.

What ideological group has taken over the union? Obviously they are anti- Mohawk, anti-democracy and anti-American.

CANADA KIDNAPS THE MOHAWKS – Bogus guns-at-the-border issue

MNN June 1, 2009. Bully Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, is trying to start an argument with the Mohawks to bring in paramilitary forces at Akwesasne. On May 26, 2009 he signed into law the Shiprider Agreement, a cross border law between Canada and U.S. The effect is those who stand up for their rights or criticize Canada are terrorists and the government can sue them and seize all their property. This is meant for us.

A few years ago a plan was hatched. Prime Minister Harper was friendly with the American real estate people in New York City. They wanted him to change the laws so that Indigenous territories in Canada can be seized by outside interests for non-payment of false fines and criminal convictions. Their interest is primarily in Iroquois territories in southern Quebec and southern Ontario. They also wanted to seize Indigenous property and resources in Alberta and elsewhere. A campaign to discredit us was started.

A huge article appeared in the New York Times about us being terrorists. Then the Center for Public Integrity of Washington DC published a series of 12 untruthful articles in the Montreal Gazette that hooked us up with bikers and other gangs.

Harper announced it on Sunday, May 31st, in Toronto to the Canadian Jewish Congress. Opposition leader, Michael Ignatief, and many real estate promoters were there. It was another piece of the puzzle being fitted together. He will remove the protection so that his US friends and their Canadian partners can grab billions of dollars of prime Indigenous territories in urban Ontario and Quebec. In exchange they will deliver Ontario to his party in the next election.

A Mohawk Band Council Resolution forbids guns at the border. Peter Van Loan, Minister of Public Safety, said the guns are going to be given to the border guards. So far they have not.

The border was shut down by the Cornwall city cops and NYS police, not the Mohawks. We can’t drive on or off the Island. If we do, we can’t go home. Grandmothers, grandfathers and children have been branded as terrorists to force us to submit to their demands.

Who’s really behind this? Are they foreign elements who have taken power over the military, para military and peacekeeping forces in Canada?

It seems decisions are being made by some secret entity with a totalitarian agenda. Could it be the international banksters and multinational corporatists?

Why is a standoff being created between Canada and the U.S. with us in the middle? Is there a rift between two long time allies, or is something else really going on?

It’s beginning to look more like a police state situation where more are going to be uniformed, carrying guns and deadly tasers. Everyone coming from the US is going to be facing an armed guard at the border. The U.S. citizens might think they are surrounded by enemies. The police control the politicians in Canada and the US. They are dictating their need for weapons. Their hidden agenda is to transform these two colonies on Great Turtle Island into police states.

The US has always been worried that Canada was going to become an enemy and vice versa. That’s why Fort Drum Army Base was put 40 miles south of the Canadian border with 90,000 soldiers ready to march in. The Canadian police agencies have been undermined by somebody. What about the Northcom Agreement which is integrating all policing in US and Canada? They want to contain people and to stop freedom of travel.

There is no safety issue. Terrorists will not come through the US to Canada. The US is not threatening Canada. In Akwesasne there are around 20 policing agencies. There is no danger whatsoever.

Throughout history the Mohawks have always been the peace makers between all the competing parties. We do not become involved in these conflicts between greedy colonial powers that are fighting for control of the world. We learned how to be peacemakers from Dekanawida.

Peter Van Loan said, “It’s no use for the Mohawks to resist”. A whole community being held hostage for being “Indian” hasn’t happened for a while. In 1990 three Mohawk communities were surrounded for 78 days by the army. This might go on indefinitely. We are patient and always willing to talk.
