North Carolina State Archaeologist Says Laws Are being Followed At Iotla Burials????

In a letter to Save The Sacred Sites Alliance, the state archaeoligist states that section 106 federal laws are being complied with fully and that the Eastern Band of Cherokee and Western Band of Cherokee have signed an MOA agreeing to this, yet both Chiefs say this isn't true. He also states that the federal laws don't matter because the graves at the Iotla Site are on private property. Yet, the FAA is providing federal money for the property so federal laws do apply, otherwise he would not have had to contact the federal tibes. His letter discussing the MOA says that these MOA complete the federal requirements. If indeed, the federal laws were met, why would the federal govenment be involved at all. If you want a copy of the MOA, it could be requested from LaShavio Johnson, email: ljohnson@achp.gov The archaeologist says that 59 bodies have been uncovered so far in just 2 acres. They have 4 more to destroy. Since this is so expansive it takes up the airport site and other owners property. They are on only 6 acres right now. They plan to expand on 26 acres, And yet, on just 2 acres there are 59 bodies on site that is call 31MA77. The archaeologist and the lawyer is over looking a state law, 160A-364 section 25-5, termination (c) Findings.... That natural or man made hazards on or in the immediate vicinity of the property, if uncorrected would pose a serious threat to the public health, safety, and welfare, if the project were to proceed as contemplated in the site specific development plan, must be terminated.
An airport runway within 900 feet of a school for children, churches and homes, sounds a little hazardous to me. What do you think?
The Keetoowahs have not been contacted to say whether they have signed the MOA.

A certain Mr. Dalton is getting all the construction bids for Macon County. He can be written at: 605 Baird Cove Road, Franklin, N.C. 28734 He is also Dalton construction. And is best friends with Mr. Drake of Drake Enterprises, who is the man behind the scene for this project and the destruction of these graves. That lawyer for Mr. Drake has gotten into trouble with federal authorities and lost his law license. Keith L. Clark was this lawyers name and under the National Bar Association for North Carolina his supension number was 07DHC6. Mr. Drake had to file against him because he did not comply with IRS laws. The FBI that has jurisdiction over this situation is at 151 Patton Avenue, Suite 211, Ashville, N.C. 28801-2638 Phone: 828-253-1643 Fax 828-271-4578. If legal action is asked for they have to investigate the federal laws that are being violated. Go under the civil section and get an injunction. Anyone in any state can do this. All you have to do is have an attorney that can practice law in North Carolina. This would be through the U.S Attorney's Office of North Carolina. Dave
